Smash Sunday is here again and Brittany and I picked Out of the box for our topic of the day.  This may not have anything to do with the topic but I just kind of was feeling a lot of emotions today because so much has happened in the life of lizzy this past week so I just started painting all day! Anyone else just paint to get there feelings out? 

Well I do... 

But I did do something kind of fun on the left side of the page.  Today it was raining so I put on the paper "rain rain go away come again some other day" and then left it outside in the rain.  Its like it soaked up enough of the skys tears which is better than soaking up mine right?  So I let it dry and put it in the book painted some rain drops and felt much better.  ... sorry that was so emotional and all I apologize. :P

Later on in the day I did the second side of the page.  It says "be original" with a bunch of fancy doodles and a flower.  This was me at the end of the day when I was finally feeling un gloomy.  The reason I said be original is because I am one of the most original people I know.  I have never followed a trend of any kind weather its fashion or life trends and I never plan to.  I am my own definition of out of the box so I just kind of doodled what I wanted to down on this page.

Foodie 

Today is Sunday and just like every other Sunday me and my babe Brittany do a smash book page together than blog about them.  Todays theme was food... and boy do I love food! 

I must not be feeling very creative today because honestly this is one of my more boring smash pages.  But I do still like it very much guess I shouldn't have made it on a full stomach? ;) 

This page includes: 

• Several fun recipes to try
• Starbucks (mmm chia tea latte) 
• Green tea wrappers (tea addict) 
• Icream and various other junk foods 
• Some organic foods because I always feel better after I eat them 
• Some strawberry scrap book paper that reminded me of pick-nicks... I am definitely going to have a picknick this summer to blog about it.  
• I also have a row of sugary drinks... mmmm my fave form of to much calories <3

Its that time of the week again! Yes smash Sunday :) Today's theme was Colors, Naturally I chose the color pink because I...own the color pink.. 

You walk into my room and its like pink threw up everywhere.  If it comes in pink I probably own it.  

Its getting so full I love it!

Heres what it looks like :) By far my fave out of all my pages 

I took an old boa and put it across the top.  There are tons of vintage pink buttons to represent my sewing.  The pink camo jean pocket is because I LOVE pink camo and inside the pocket I put a letter I wrote to myself ...and I wrote it in pink pencil! There is a victoria secret bag and a pink bow to represent my love for bows. There is also a breast cancer ribbion several little pink flowers along with some paper stars.  There are many other random little pink things and I coated the hole thing in GLITTER!! wooooo!

Smash Sunday: Speech

I got it posted! Yay! I thought we might have had to have a Smosh Day (smash day on Monday?) Because in a previous post I told you guys that my Iphone the device I use to do all my pictures had broke but I broke out the old digital camera and got to work! I am quite pleased with the results and may continue to use it.

Well this weeks theme was on speech.  Both me and Brittany are on our schools speech team and we both have a love/hate relationship with it but all and all it is worth it with all the fun we have.  

Here is my speech page! 

let me elaborate what all of this nonsense means.  

Lets start on the left page: 

The gold medal stand for any medal I have ever received plus a little inspiration to win at districts so I can go to state and win that! 

the black and white paper with the words "The Second Disaster" on it stands for the the paper persuasive speakers put there speeches on.  Some events you put them in binders some on note cards and persuasive you put them on black paper.  

The second disaster part is the name of my speech.  

Let me explain what the second disaster is first... The second disaster is when some type of major disaster strikes our globe like for example hurricane Katrina or the sandy hook shooting and than because of this disaster people send all types of donations.  You would think this is a great thing right? Well a lot of the items donated do not help one bit and in fact cause a hole other disaster.  (hence the hole "second disaster") 

I know totally boring but hey its a good topic! 

The peacock that I colored is something I actually colored at a speech meet.  Me and a few of my friends while we wait for either a next round or maybe awards we sit around and color :) 

Now the right page:

The gibberish on the little piece of paper is some notes my speech coach made while I was giving my speech.  It's just a bunch of things I need to work on. 

There is one of the ribbons I got in one of my rounds yesterday at the meet.  that means I got second place in my round.  The way speech meets work is they have two rounds.  You preform against 5-7 people in this round and than depending on how high you placed in your rounds depends on if you get to the finals round.  If you make it to finals round you get a medal and stand in front of a hole bunch of people to get it they call your name out and stuff.  

I put the word persuasive on it because well that's my event and my love.  

The googly eyes are a reminder to make good eye contact when giving my speech and the two words on either side of the ribbon are "speech voice" and "enunciation".  These are some things I am trying to work on so they are there as a reminder.  

Yay for Smash Sunday! 

Your challenge this week in your smash books is to do a page on an activity you are in or a hobby you enjoy participating in.  It could be anything from walking your dog to playing a sport just get creative with it!

Hey guys! It is smash Sunday! but I am sad to say I do not know if I will be able to get mine posted today :/ 

The reason for this is because the device I basically handle most of my blog with (my Iphone) has now broken.  Hopefully by tonight I will have a camera of some sort that will allow me to post my smash Sunday along with a few DIY's as soon as I have time.  I know I have a digital camera around here somewhere but the trick is... finding it... 

 I apologize if I am not able to post anything.  

If I get a camera today I will find a way to get the smash Sunday blog uploaded for yall to see but it might be a bit late so I am sorry 

If I do find my old digital here is the agenda for the week so you have something to look forward to:

As you can see I have a lot planned.  If this camera in return has much better pictures than my Iphone did than maybe we will just stick with it :) 

I will have Smash Sunday posted AT LEAST by Monday.  Guess we will call it smash and bash Monday? I don't know... This weeks theme is of an extra curricular activity that I have a passion for.  It is all about speech team.  

Sweater week is obviously all about sweaters.  I have enough sweaters were I could wear one every day for the next three months and since it will be spring here pretty soon I am going to try to wear all the sweaters I did not get to wear yet as kind of an end of the winter outfit party?  Hopefully I will have the full weeks post up around next Sunday possibly? 

The two DIY'S you will just have to stick around and find out about :P 

Here in my town today there is an antique show me and my mom are going so I hope to have kind of a life blog on that and show you guys the experience and if I end up getting a hoard of stuff maybe a haul but I doubt I will buy much but you never know! My mom might be in a generous mood.

I kind of want to start doing all natural beauty products at least once a week so I might start this week with that.  Keep reading this week to find out what it is ;)

Just like this last Friday my friend Brittany and I are going to do another fancy Friday on our blogs.  We hope to make it a weekly thing.  Read later on in this week to see our outfit decisions!

Smash Sunday: All About Me

Me and my friend Brittany are going to both start something new on our blogs called Smash Sunday.  Smash Sunday is our smash book day.  Each Sunday we will do a page in our smash books related to a theme.

Now I understand many of you are totally confused on what a smash book is so I will elaborate.  

My definition of a smash book:  An unorganized messy scrap book/journal. 

If you still do not understand any of this here are a few picture examples of what a smash book might look like. 

Starting to get it? 

Smash books are meant to just literally smash anything and everything into A note book.  

Examples:

• Thoughts 
• Poems
• Pictures 
• ticket stubs
• Magazine cutouts 
• ANYTHING! 

The bulkier the better! By the time your smash book is completely done it should be twice the size or even triple the size it was before.  It should not be able to be closed is what I am saying.... 

Hopefully that helped a bit on explaining it.   

And now... My new smash book... 

This is what I started with.  Just a plain and simple composition notebook. A few pages had been used and the front was a bit beat up.  But to me that meant the perfect smash book. 

I than covered the ugly in an adorable scrapbook paper and put my name on the front.  I wanted it nice and simple because the inside is going to be so cluttered it just kind of felt right.  

Today's theme Brittany and I had was all about me. 

We kind of figured since its the first day it is a great place to start 

On the left side side I wrote a not to myself.  I put some basic information about myself so in the future when I re read this smash book I kind of have an idea were I was in my life.  

Stuff like my age, grade, and the date I created it.  

I also made a mission statement to myself: 

I will always put a great amount of effort into this smash book.  I will try to do all positive pages as best as I can.  Some day I hope to look back on this book and think "wow" I am really proud of  myself. 

Here is my first page!! 

I will kind of explain what they all mean because to most you would be totally lost. 

The lipstick on the side resembles my favorite color (pink) 

The dog at the top is a cocker spaniel (represents my puppy I love so much) 

Sour patch kids (my fave candy) 

Thrift shopping -- for obvious reasons 

The heart is there for someone that is very close to me and I love very much 

Softball (The other love of my life) 

Butterfly heart (represents my love for camping and the outdoors) 

Mermaid bottom left (I am pretty positive I am a mermaid) 

glitter --- glitter runs threw my veins 

The reason the glitter is blue is cause thats my school color and since I am a cheerleader I figured I would add that in there 

Than random words that represent my personality 

Well... that was my smash sunday! 

In other news here is something exciting I did today!

I have been learning how to wield and this was the first piece that I have ever wielded together.... looks like a work of art to me. :)
